Yuppeeeee, it was not enough to win the title of Swiss Street Girls Champion. This year where happened the first Swiss Bowl Championships and I won the Girls division.

Santa Cruz Team Demo St.Gallen
Am Samstag 23.August hätte eigentlich das Bowl Schweizer Meisterschaftsfinale in St. Gallen statt finden sollen. Doch leider hatte das Wetter keine Lust und regnete immer wieder dazwischen. Die Trockenphasen waren zu kurz um auch nur schon eine der drei Kategorien durch zu führen. Daher habe ich nicht wirklich viele Bilder, genauer gesagt nur drei. Der Contest wurde auf irgendwann im November verschoben.
At Saturday 23rd August should happen the Final of the Bowl Swiss Championships in St.Gallen. But the Wheater has obviously an other plan. The short times when it wasn't raining where to short for the Contest, so I don't have much pics, for serious just three.
The Finals will happen (hopefully) anytime in November.

Aber es war ja auch noch eine Demo des Santa Cruz Teams angekündigt. Ausser Florenting Marfaing, Justin Strubing, Tommy Finn und Alex Carolino hatte ich keine Ahnung welche Teamfahrer noch kommen würden. Da ich dachte, es würden eh welche sein, die nur Street skaten, hatte ich mich auch nicht weiter drum gekümmert. Als ich dann aber vor Ort auch Emanuel Guzman sah wusste ich, dass es auch in Sachen Poolskaten was zu sehen gibt. Er hat den Oldschool Pool regelrecht auseinander genommen. Es wollte zwar nicht alles klappen, aber wenn man den Pool noch nie zuvor geskatet ist und gleich mal Bluntslide über die Deathbox versucht, Hut ab. Er ist zudem Padless und ohne Helm gefahren, also bitte nicht nachahmen!
But there was also a demonstration of the Santa Cruz team announced. Except Florenting Marfaing, Justin Strubing, Tommy Finn and Alex Carolino, I had no idea which teamriders would still come. I thought there would be only streetskaters. But then when I saw Emanuel Guzman I knew, that there's a chance to see good pool skating. He really rocked the Oldschoolpool. Unfortunately it doesn't work every trick, but if you had never before skated that pool and try to do a Bluntslide over the Deathbox as one of the first tricks, Hats off.

Emanuel war der letzte der am Sonntagmorgen aus dem Hostel kam aber der erste (und einzige) der ohne lange zu fakeln das Handrail vor der Jugendherberge geskatet ist. Alex Carolino wollte meine Kamera ausprobieren und einfach ein paar Bilder schiessen, das war gerade als sich Emanuel entschloss das Handrail zu skaten. Die Photos hat alle Alex geschossen, ausser das Portrait, das hat Marcel von der Tendistribution geknipst.
Emanuel was the last one leaving the hostel Sunday morning, but the first (and only) who skated the Handrail front of the hostel. Alex Carolino wanted to try out my camera and just shoot a few pictures, that was just as Emanuel decided to skate the Handrail. The photos was shot all by Alex, except the portrait which has taken Marcel from the Tendistribution.
Leider war die Skatesession nur von kurzer Dauer, da die Chefin des Hostels natürlich keine Freude daran fand, dass das Geländer zerkratzt wird. Aber so wie das aussah, waren auch früher schon Skater am Werk.

Fee's neuer Skateshop: Layback in Freiburg (D)
Am Samstag 29.März war die Eröffnung von Fee's neuem Skateshop in Freiburg im Breisgau. Mit der neuen Location an der Sedanstr.9 (3min. vom Bahnhof) bekam der Bretterschuppen auch einen neuen Namen und heisst jetzt Layback. Hier einige Bilder des superschön gewordenen Ladens.
Der Durchgang zum Layback von der Saftbar Sedan her gesehen.
Das grosse Board- und Zubehörsortiment reicht von Downhill- über Streetboards bis hin zu Poolracketen. Hackbrett, Hügelherzblut, Zorlac, Wolfsmensch... nur eine kleine Auswahl davon was erhältlich ist.
